Class Description:
This adult painting course builds on concepts learned in “Painting Foundations," "Colored Pencil" and "Watercolor Foundations." It is not required to have taken any of those classes first. Like all painting courses at Kate's Art School, expect to deepen and refine painting and compositional skills and learn fundamental principles of design and working in color. This is a still-life painting class, where students will be working in their choice of watercolor, acrylic, pastel, colored pencil, or oil. Students may also choose to bring in inspirational photographs to work from. Whether you are a beginner or have prior experience, this class welcomes all skill levels and aims to nurture your artistic growth.
Through demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and personalized instruction, you will develop a deeper understanding of the painting process, allowing you to express your ideas.
In this supportive and collaborative environment, you will engage in group discussions, critiques, and peer feedback sessions.
