Discover the beauty of drawing with permanent ink. In this five-week class, students will use felt-tip pens to create detailed still life drawings while strengthening their observational skills. We’ll explore line quality, value, texture, pattern, and contrast, learning how to build form and depth without the use of an eraser.
Working from carefully arranged still lifes, you’ll gain confidence making intentional marks and discover how simple felt-tip pens can produce rich, expressive drawings. This class is ideal for students who have a foundation in drawing and are ready to refine their technique through the discipline and permanence of ink.
Prerequisite: Drawing 200 at Kate's Art School. Supply list provided here; Please also bring 4-6 ink pens in differing nib sizes. Students bring their own materials. Adults only. Free Open Studio Sessions included.
