Join us for a three-day pottery camp designed exclusively for 9-12 year olds! At Pottery Palooza, we will dive into the magical world of clay and unleash our creativity through the art of pottery.
Throughout the camp, students will learn the fundamental principles of pottery, starting with understanding the different parts of a pot. They will explore various hand-building techniques, including coiling, pinching, slab making, and darts, to create unique and expressive pottery pieces.
Under the guidance of Kate, students will develop their skills in building pots from start to finish. They will discover ways to combine these hand-building techniques, allowing them to bring their artistic visions to life in clay form.
Through this immersive experience, students will not only gain a solid foundation in pottery but also enhance their overall representational art interests. They will learn to appreciate the intricacies of form, texture, and structure, refining their artistic abilities.
Pottery Palooza promises a nurturing learning environment where students can freely explore their artistic potential. Kate will provide personalized guidance, ensuring that each student receives the necessary support to flourish as a budding potter.
At the end of the camp, participants will proudly showcase their collection of handcrafted pottery, reflecting their newfound skills and creativity. Join us at Pottery Palooza, where imagination takes shape, and every piece tells a unique story!
$260.00. All materials are included except for aprons/smocks. Aprons are required and can be brought from home or purchased at Kate's Art School.
